Most of the behavior cases we see began as a mismatch: a working breed in a quiet apartment, an energetic, excitable puppy with a family that wanted calm, a rescue whose history wasn't known and whose behavior wasn't properly assessed. In each case, the dog did nothing wrong, but the fit was disastrous for them and the family.

A conversation before you choose changes all of that. We talk about your household, your days and availability, your experience, and what you want life with a dog to feel like. Then we help you choose: which breed, from a breeder or a rescue, at what age, and when.

After that, the selection: assessing the litter (or, more commonly, litters) to find just the right puppy with just the right disposition. That step, more than any other, is where success or failure is determined.
